Didi Nishlis – It's Good to Know Someone has Your Back


 
Being elected to the Israel Bonds national board in November 2019 was the highlight of my year. It was a great source of pride to have made a contribution to such an important organization. It was only recently, however, that I fully grasped the true significance of what Israel Bonds has meant to the State of Israel. When I explain to my Israeli friends and colleagues how the organization provided worldwide record investments of $1.8 billion in 2020, even in these difficult times, people are speechless. I feel their strong appreciation when words such as "wow!" and "amazing!" dominate the conversation - and this is coming from Israelis, who are not easily impressed and sometimes find it hard to express gratitude. Israel Bonds, with its global network of lay leaders, staff and supporters, has a real impact, both financially and psychologically. It's good to know someone has your back.
