Israel Bonds Palm Beach Fifth Annual Unity for Israel Reception

Israel Bonds and the Palm Beach Community joined together for the Fifth Annual Unity for Israel Reception at Palm Beach Synagogue on March 19, 2018. Congregants and rabbis from four synagogues— New Synagogue of Palm Beach, Palm Beach Synagogue, Temple Beth El, and Temple Israel of West Palm Beach— participated.  In addition to providing honorees from each synagogue, rabbis from all three streams of Judaism— Orthodox, Reform and Conservative— came together on the Bimah to lead the group in a prayer for Israel. Rabbi Alan Sherman, MorseLife Health Systems chaplain services director, and John C. Randolph, Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians and Jews chairman, were honored along with recipients from other community groups. Guest speaker Vered Buskila, vice president of the Olympic Committee of Israel and former Olympic athlete, inspired the crowd with her account of competing in multiple Olympics. There was a tremendous response to Buskila and the honorees, and this celebration of unity in support for Israel and Israel’s 70th anniversary resulted in over $1.2 million in Israel bond investments.
