Award-winning Israeli chef and entrepreneur Michael Solomonov held a virtual cooking demonstration exclusively for Israel Bonds supporters and investors on September 10, from his home in Philadelphia, where his restaurant Zahav and others have gained critical acclaim. Born in Ganei Yehuda, the winner of five James Beard awards spoke on his upbringing in Pittsburgh, where he recalls memories of accompanying his mother to the local Israel Bonds office exclaiming, “Israel Bonds was always close to my heart.” Michael’s grandfather served as the Tri-State chair of their local Bonds office, and was a very active and prominent member of the Bonds community as well as a proud Jew.

With more than two thousand tuning in, Israel’s Minister of Aliyah and Integration Penina Tamano-Shata addressed Israel Bonds supporters and leadership, extending warm greetings for the holidays while also sharing, “I want to thank you for your involvement, and activity and networking with [Israel] bonds. This is your way to stand with Israel and I thank you.”

The event was part of Israel Bonds’ ongoing virtual gatherings for the upcoming High Holy Days, in which many investors and advocates have demonstrated their participation and support.
