Karnit advocated passionately for more than two years, meeting with politicians, government members, human rights organizations, and fearlessly stood before the Iranian president at the UN General Assembly, demanding to learn the whereabouts of her beloved husband and his comrade. Exuding immense courage and strength, Karnit demonstrated the importance of doing everything in one’s power to effectuate change, and in her account she highlighted the realization that all Jewish people around the world are one nation, especially when encountering struggle and hardship. Israel Bonds Washington New Leadership 9th Annual Day at the Ballpark

Israel Bonds Washington New Leadership held a sold out 9th Annual Day at the Ballpark on Sunday, July 7, as the Washington Nationals hosted the Kansas City Royals. More than 60 young professionals and their children enjoyed watching the game from two party suites, which were provided to Israel Bonds through the generosity of the Lerner family, owners of the Nationals, and Irwin Raij, Israel Bonds board member.

The program included an introduction by event co-chairs Cameron Erickson and remarks by Eric Wachter and Miriam Wachter, who shared their story about why their family chooses to invest in Israel through Israel bonds.

“For me, Israel bonds is an investment worth supporting because I am making an investment in support of my values. I was proud to do my part by co-hosting the 9th Annual Day at the Ballpark and am eager to continue this effort for years ahead,” said Cameron. Miriam shared her sentiments by stating, "Israel bonds are an important part of how my family expresses our Zionist values. Getting to join our friends at a ballgame in support of Israel, and to encourage their investments in Israel bonds, was an added bonus!"

The 9th Annual Day at the Ballpark is just one example of how Israel Bonds Washington is growing the connection within the next generation of Israel Bonds investors, developing Israel Bonds New Leadership Division, and fortifying the Bonds mission in support of the Jewish homeland.
