Ordained in 1988, Rabbi Haim has served the Cleveland community for more than thirty years. A passionate, dynamic leader, Rabbi Haim has been involved with Israel Bonds since the early 1990s.

At a March 9 transition ceremony, at which Rabbi Haim formally assumed her new role, Bonds President & CEO Dani Naveh told her, “This is a proud moment for you, the Rabbinic Cabinet and Israel Bonds You are now the leader and face of the Israel Bonds synagogue campaign. It will be an exciting journey, and we are gratified to take it with you.”

Rabbi Haim’s historic appointment coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first woman rabbi to be ordained in the U.S. Reflecting on the history, Rabbi Haim observed, “There have been many milestones throughout my life, but I’m particularly proud to carry this mantle on behalf of the numerous women leaders who have uplifted the Bonds organization for over seven decades.”

In paying tribute to her predecessor, Rabbi Sam Klibanoff, Rabbi Haim said, “I’m standing on some broad shoulders. Sam has been a tremendous leader, especially during the pandemic. I hope to follow in the footsteps of Sam and the wonderful rabbis who preceded me.”

Rabbi Klibanoff expressed great pride and optimism about his successor, saying, “I have had the privilege to work with Rabbi Rosie Haim for a number of years and I am thrilled that she will be the first-ever female chair of the Rabbinic Advisory Council. Rabbi Haim is sure to lead our Council with intelligence, thoughtfulness and a deep love and passion for our beloved State of Israel. Israel Bonds and the Rabbinic Council are blessed to have a leader like Rabbi Rosie Haim.”
