New York Women’s Division Hosts Yoga and Meditation Event

6/23/2019

Kicking off the start of summer, Israel Bonds’ New York Women’s Division hosted ‘Flow Yoga and Meditation: To Move Your Body and Mind’ on Sunday, June 23, in which over 20 women gathered to exercise, unwind, and connect with one another at Lex Fit Gym in Murray Hill in Manhattan. A private class held by Tami Amanda, certified yoga and wellness instructor, followed by a catered brunch from Juice Press, brought together women from the local area, most of whom were new investors and were eager to learn more about ways to expand their involvement in Women’s Division by attending events and investing in Israel bonds.

Launching earlier this year, Bonds’ New York Women’s Division, led by co-chairs Shira Lewis, former Women’s Division chair and current board member, and Liran Yechiel, active lay leader, was developed to broaden membership in metropolitan NYC, in response to the natural growth observed in attendance at events and an increase in overall engagement in recent months. The focus of this specific event, which required the purchase of a $36 e-Mitzvah bond to attend, was to attract new investors, and spread awareness of the Bonds mission and the $27 million success story of the Women’s Division, in which women have made Israel bonds investments on their own, not as a couple, since the inception of the Bonds’ enterprise in 1951.
